IFDAS

Welcome to the SAAD page for the International Federation of Dental Anaesthesiology Societies (IFDAS)

IFDAS as a Federation is an international organisation of dental and medical societies and other organisations engaged in education, research and improved methods of treatments in the field of dental anaesthesia, analgesia and sedation and other related branches of dentistry.

Purpose

  1. To promote and encourage the study and extend the practice of improved methods of administration of anaesthesia, analgesia and sedation in dentistry and other related branches of dentistry and bring the benefits of these methods to the peoples of the world.
  2. To promote the international exchange of knowledge, technology and research achievements in dental anaesthesia, analgesia and sedation and other related branches of dentistry.
  3. From publish from time-to-time the results of research and other educational material for the benefit of member organisations and individuals and for that of the general public.

Christopher Holden (UK) is the immediate Past President of SAAD and is currently the President of IFDAS.

International Congress

The Federation holds an International Congress every three years and may, on occasion, hold special or additional scientific meetings.

The International Congress is to be held in Yokohama city, Japan, in October 2006. Please click here to link to the 2006 Congress website.

The last Congress was hosted by SAAD in Scotland in 2003.
